ACCESS

ACCESS is an internet program that allows high school students to learn outside of the classroom. Teachers who may not want to stand in front of a class all day, would probably like this method of teaching best. The lessons are taught through videos via internet. Students have forms that must be filled out before entering the program and also have to have consent from the school they are presently attending.
The website offers all the brochures designed specifically for parents, students, and the educators. ACCESS offers a wide variety of courses, some a student may not have an opportuniy to experience in a regular high school. These courses are designed for those students who want to learn on an advanced level. I think this is a good program for those students who want more from their education. I, however, would not want to be one of the teachers. I want to be in a classroom and in a more settled environment.

ALEX

ALEX is a very helpful website for teachers. I also think this website would be helpful for parents because they can see what their children should be learning and they can help the teacher monitor how well the child understands what they are learning. The website offers a place to view and share lesson plans, which can give teachers different ideas and layouts for their lesson plans. ALEX offers links to various site for teachers, students, and school administrators. The links include information about different subject areas, classroom activities, and information about counciling.
I would highly recommend this website to other teachers. I think it may help with some of the stressful duties and give some helpful insite. In the future, I will definitely look at this website for information or help creating lesson plans. I feel I can also get some helpful ideas for class projects for a specific subject area.
